Lindsey A. Coley
Attorney
Lindsey A. Coley has lived in the Smith Mountain Lake community for over 40 years. She was a partner with a large firm in Roanoke before opening her own law practice at Smith Mountain Lake. In 2017, Lindsey was named to Virginia Lawyers Weekly’s “Up & Coming Lawyer” list, a distinction awarded to only fifteen attorneys across the Commonwealth of Virginia. In 2018, she was voted “Young Lawyer of the Year” by her fellow members of the Roanoke Bar Association. Lindsey has also been recognized as a Virginia Rising Star for the past ten years (2011-2021) by Virginia Super Lawyers.
Lindsey’s practice focuses on Wills, Trusts & Probate, and she also serves as outside general counsel to local small businesses. She regularly prepares Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney and Advance Medical Directives for clients and represents executors, administrators and trustees regarding the administration of trust and estates.
Mariah Moles
Paralegal
Mariah has lived in the Smith Mountain Lake Community for 27 years. She obtained her Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies from Virginia Western Community College in 2018 and has worked in the legal field for four years. She currently lives in the Smith Mountain Lake area with her husband and their two dogs. Mariah currently assists Lindsey with estate planning and corporate matters as well as handling firm administrative duties.

Haley Wright
Paralegal
Haley has worked in the legal field since 2016. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Paralegal Studies as well as the Advanced Certified Paralegal (ACP) certification from the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA). Prior to joining Coley Law Firm, she worked for over five years in local and state government, primarily as a litigation paralegal. Haley currently assists Lindsey with estate planning, estate administration and probate matters.

Micheal Cooper
Legal Assistant
Micheal was raised in Franklin County. She currently lives in the Smith Mountain Lake area with her husband and two daughters. She worked for the United States Postal Service locally for over 10 years, assisting our community with a smile and familiar face. She has a background in administrative, clerical and customer service duties. She currently assists Lindsey with estate planning and corporate matters. Her passion is her family, community and helping others.

Linda Waters
Legal Assistant
Linda is originally from Indiana but has enjoyed living in Virginia for many years. She has 3 grown children and 9 grandchildren that are a wonderful part of her life. Linda worked as a Physical Therapist for over 25 years and thoroughly enjoyed helping patients return to quality lives following injuries or illnesses. Linda currently works part-time for Lindsey, who happens to be her daughter, doing clerical work. She enjoys meeting the clients and feeling part of a staff of people who truly do care for their clients and do the best they can to serve them while making the clients as comfortable as
possible.
